I am pleased to announce the release of a photo album of Master Horitoshi The First in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. I, Keiichi KUWAI, the author and photographer, first came to the door of Master Horitoshi The First in 1995, and since then, I have been a great patron of Master Horitoshi The First for nearly 30 years, both publicly and privately. Since then, I have been a great help to Master Horitoshi The First for almost 30 years, both publicly and privately. I was allowed to take many photos not only of his finished works, but also of scenes of his daily work, some of which were taken while he was drinking, and even of his band playing. At the beginning of the year 2023, I started to produce this book with a sense of mission to preserve the works of Master Horitoshi The First in an official album, which is truly worthy of being called a first-class art form. I was very happy to be able to do so, and I am very proud of it. At the same time, we felt strongly that we wanted to help people overseas better understand traditional and authentic Japanese tattoos. We have also incorporated another theme of the Japanese people's deep-rooted ideas and senses of "all things in the forest, the 8 million gods".
