2010 VRSCDX 300 Wide Tire Full Custom

The bike we’re featuring today as part of the BL Collectors Edition is a full custom built by BAD LAND based on a 2010 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special, featuring 300-series wide tires.This bike is dominated by a thoroughly stripped-down black aesthetic. From the frame and engine to the bodywork and front end, every component is submerged in black, allowing only the metallic sheen of the billet aluminum wheels and engine fins to emerge from this dark mass. It asserts its presence not through color, but through structure and mass. That is the essence of this bike.

The Aesthetic Philosophy of *BAD LAND*, Brought to Life Through Film

The 2016 film *HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE*. Just like the BAD LAND-built V-ROD custom featured in the movie, this bike has been built to an extremely high standard as a full custom, centered around a 300-wide rear section. While this particular bike was not actually used in the film’s production, it shares the same characteristics as the one in the movie: a low-slung silhouette, / massive rear tire, a front section that exposes its mechanical structure, and an overwhelming presence defined by a black color scheme. These elements are not merely temporary styles created to fit the movie’s aesthetic. The fact that BAD LAND’s design philosophy—forged through years of pursuing Euro-style customization—functioned as an iconic presence even on the massive screen of a movie is proof of this style’s universality.

A level of perfection that has stood the test of time

Although this is a 2010 model, it remains in exceptionally good condition today. The black-based finishes throughout, the texture of the billet aluminum parts, and the overall cohesiveness of the vehicle preserve the sense of excitement from the time of its creation to this day. The value of a custom vehicle is not determined solely by the moment it was built.How it has been owned, maintained, and preserved to this day—that passage of time also shapes the vehicle’s value. If we were to recreate this specification from scratch today, the costs would extend far beyond just parts and machining fees. It would involve designing each component, selecting and sourcing parts, metalworking, test assembly, balancing the entire chassis, painting, and finishing. It would take an enormous amount of time to reach completion. Furthermore, some of the imported custom parts used at the time are now difficult to obtain under the same conditions. Acquiring a completed vehicle means more than just purchasing the chassis itself.It means inheriting, in its entirety, all the technical expertise, judgment, production time, and maintenance history that BAD LAND has invested in this single vehicle up to the present day. The “BL Collectors Edition” is a designation reserved for vehicles that transcend fleeting trends and are meant to be cherished for generations. This vehicle clearly embodies that philosophy.
