THE STORY
What This One Car Tells Us
2010 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX 300 Wide Tire Custom
BAD LAND: The culmination of the first phase of V-ROD customization.
BAD LAND has been pursuing V-ROD custom builds for many years. Among the vehicles that have emerged during this evolutionary process, one stands out as a pinnacle of that evolution: this custom bike featuring 300-wide tires, based on a 2010 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX.
In later years, BAD LAND would evolve V-ROD customs into a new realm of design through the adoption of gusset forks—as epitomized by the “HIGH & LOW”—and bold redesigns of the frame and seat area. This motorcycle is a model that condenses into a single machine the technical expertise and experience accumulated prior to that major shift, as well as the design sophistication derived from numerous custom-building projects.

Low and long. A silhouette that’s substantial yet streamlined.
A unified black finish runs throughout the entire bike. It features a low-slung silhouette and 300-wide tires mounted at the rear. Supporting this overwhelming presence are top-of-the-line components from the renowned German custom parts manufacturer, No Limit Custom. The front is equipped with the company’s inverted front forks. Furthermore, both the front and rear wheels are fitted with billet aluminum wheels, also manufactured by No Limit Custom.

A design that eschews excessive ornamentation to highlight the inherent strength of the metal and the beauty of precision machining. Its substantial and refined form is a key element that defines this vehicle’s presence.
The swingarm supporting the 300-wide rear tire also features the company’s 3D aluminum billet wide swingarm. The functional beauty achieved through three-dimensional machining and its robust structure further enhance the overall quality of the motorcycle.
The airbox features a BAD LAND original design, and the rear fender was custom-built to match the overall lines of the bike. The sleek, flowing design that extends from the seat to the rear end highlights the imposing presence of the 300-wide tires while creating a silhouette that makes the visual center of gravity appear as low as possible.
The rear suspension was recently replaced with an air suspension system manufactured by Arnott in the U.S. Thanks to its ride height adjustment feature, the setup now more vividly highlights this vehicle’s distinctive “low and long” silhouette.

The exhaust system features a muffler manufactured by the German company KessTech, known as a long-standing leader in variable-volume mufflers. It is a high-quality system equipped with a volume adjustment function, and the exhaust pipe connecting the engine to the muffler was custom-made by BAD LAND to match the vehicle’s configuration.
A blacked-out engine, intricately machined wheels, and a low, elongated exhaust line. Rather than each element asserting its presence independently, they come together to form a unified aesthetic as a single motorcycle.
This vehicle features neither flashy design elements nor excessive ornamentation. What it does have is a sense of presence born of proportions refined through years of experience and high-quality components.
The sense of heft, functional beauty, and "low and long" aesthetic that BAD LAND pursued in its first-generation V-ROD custom.
The 2010 VRSCDX 300 Wide Tire Custom—which could be called the ultimate embodiment of that vision—has been added to the BL Collector’s Edition lineup.
