The Kawasaki Z1-R is produced by a long-established motorcycle store in Tengenji, Minato-ku, Tokyo: Kawasaki Z specialty store "Kamikaze Zero Nana Zero". The blacked-out body and gold-colored wheels give the Z1-R a more spartan image. The engine and transmission have been completely overhauled.
